The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Travel Health Notice for the United States due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Travelers should avoid all nonessential travel to the United States. If you must travel, follow the recommendations below. Check Travel Advisory levels for your destination before you go. The highest level of caution. If you travel, take steps to protect yourself and others:
- Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
- Stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) away from other people.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, call your healthcare provider before you travel. You may have an increased risk of severe illness if you are an older adult or have a chronic medical condition such as heart disease, diabetes, or lung disease.
This Travel Advisory does not apply to U.S. citizens evacuated from Wuhan, China on January 29, 2020, or February 5, 2020, who are subject to a 14-day federal quarantine upon arrival in the United States as well as Travel Health Notice Level 3 (Reconsider Travel). This Travel Advisory replaces the Travel Health Notice issued on January 31 2020 and is in effect until further notice.”

- INDOT crews will be out throughout the state working to clear roads and highways. However, with the expected snow and ice accumulation, roads are likely to become slippery and dangerous. Motorists are advised to slow down and use extra caution while driving. If possible, avoid travel altogether until conditions improve.

- The Indiana Department of Health has issued a travel advisory for all individuals entering the state from Kentucky, effective immediately. This advisory is due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Kentucky, as well as the fact that the state does not have a mask mandate in place. All individuals entering Indiana from Kentucky are advised to self-quarantine for 14 days and to get tested for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arrival.
